Hot Market? Crazy Market? nope.

I always remember the lessons learned working alongside the top selling Realtors at Oakridge Center Re/Max in Vancouver when the Real Estate market was so hot with Asian buyers coming in with what seemed like unending buckets of money. Fast forward to my Real Estate business in Summerland today, almost 30 years later. Today there is strong demand for Summerland property, and I am again experiencing a market that is undergoing significant change.

The influx of outside buyers (Asian money back then), often resulted in competing offers. This was quite unheard of, and we were just beginning to understand how competing offer situation should be handled for clients. Just like in Summerland today, there was “good” Real Estate advice, and “bad” Real Estate advice.

My best input today is that this market is not “crazy”, like many professionals are calling it. There are not “buyers everywhere” like some are telling sellers. And, if you are thinking of selling, just make sure you do your best to hire experienced representation by a professional who will ethically and capably look out for you best interests!
